Pastors Sam and Becky Carr began the church in 1979 and have continued for over 45 years to preach the word of God with boldness. Through Pastor Sam’s dynamic teaching of the Word of God and Becky’s passion to lead people into the presence of God through worship, they have ministered to people all over the world.
Pastor Sam & Becky Carr are the founders of what began as Word of Life Center in 1978 at the River Boat Inn, a local motel in Shreveport, LA. God gave Pastor Sam the scripture Philippians 2:16 as the foundation in which the church would be built.
“Holding out [to it] and offering [to all men] the Word of Life, so that in the day of Christ I may have something of which exultantly to rejoice and glory in that I did not run my race in vain or spend my labor to no purpose.”
Pastor Sam continues to lead Life United as the Senior Pastor along with his wife Becky Carr, the staff and other leaders at Life United.

2. Connect every person to the local Church(body of Christ) becoming a vital participant in meaningful relationships, spiritual growth and serving.
3. Connect every person to his or her God given Purpose which produces fulfillment and fruitfulness in every believer and causes the church to grow.
4. Connect every person to the Mission of the local church. Each person proclaiming the Gospel to the world and making disciples of all nations through the ministry of the Word of God in the power of the Holy Spirit.
