Our Pastors
Pastors Sam and Becky Carr began the church in 1979 and have continued for over 45 years to preach the word of God with boldness. Through Pastor Sam’s dynamic teaching of the Word of God and Becky’s passion to lead people into the presence of God through worship, they have ministered to people all over the world.
Our Beliefs
- The Bible | We believe the Bible is absolute truth; inspired by the Holy Spirit. It is the divine, authoritative message from God to the believer. As the highest form of truth in existence, the Bible is the basis and standard for all our beliefs and practices. (2 Timothy 3:16)
- The Trinity | We believe there is one God who manifests Himself in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)
- The Virgin Birth | We believe that Jesus is the Son of God. He was born of a virgin and conceived of the Holy Spirit. Without the virgin birth, Jesus would have been like any other man: tainted with sin, and incapable of saving mankind. (Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:34-35)
- Jesus | We believe the core of Christianity is founded upon Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Jesus is the perfect sacrifice for the sins of mankind (1 Corinthians 5:7; 2 Corinthians 5:21). He is the risen Savior and Lord (1 Corinthians 15:17), the Healer (1 Peter 2:24), the Baptizer (Mark 1:8, Acts 2:2-4), and the soon coming King (2 Timothy 4:1).
- The Ministry Of The Holy Spirit | We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues (Acts 2:1-4), and in the supernatural ministry of the Holy Spirit, including the nine gifts of the Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12:7-10)
- The Ministry Of The Body Of Christ | We believe God has placed within every Christian unique gifts and talents that are to be used to bless the Body of Christ. (1 Peter 4:10)
Missions
The vision of Life United is not just a local vision; it’s a global vision. By the grace of God, we’ve been able to give millions to missions projects. We have funded hundreds of churches, bible schools, orphanages, feeding programs, primary schools, urgent medical aid and disaster relief all over the world. Life United has always been and will continue to be committed to helping people in every nation to come to know God and experience his power in their everyday lives.
